THE WILDE FAMILY
Aaron and Lucy Wilde found out a couple of weeks ago, at 34 weeks pregnant their little girl (3rd child after having 2 boys) has a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, this can occur in 1:3000 pregnancies. The team at John Hunter have given their baby a 50:50 chance of surviving, which has come as a huge blow to this beautiful family.
Lucy is a nurse/midwife and works in the Special Care baby Unit at Port Base Hospital. A lot of local families would have come into contact with Lucy and would have experienced the excellent care she always provides.
We would like to raise some money to go towards transport, accommodation, living costs etc as it’s expected Lucy will have to be in Newcastle with baby for up to 2 months following the emergency surgery baby will need. Their families live in Victoria and Aaron has his own excavation business in Port Macquarie.
